Camp

So yesterday I came back home from an amazing church camp!.! I want to tell you guys all about it! Okay, I guess I just will.
  The best part about camp was the skits. Here is how it works: everyone gets a random piece of colored paper. That decides which group you're in. Then all the groups receives a bag full of strange props, and a location, ( ours was a family vacation). Then we come up with a skit and preform it. The best part... all of this went on at 10:00 at night!
  At camp I also got to go on a zipline! I had to get in a super-fancy-harness-thingy-ma-bob-thingy, and then, ZOOM! I zipped over the lake on the zipline. I felt like I was flying! It was so awesome!
   And now, the part you've all been waiting for.... THE FOOD! For supper we had yummy noodles. Then, the next morning, for breakfast I had bacon, ( my favorite!), eggs, and hash browns. For lunch I had a delicious salad. All of it was delectable and I got to eat it all in a nice, rustic dining hall. ( By the way, the whole camp was very rustic and Texas western themed)
     Speaking of Texas western, the cabin was amazing! I slept in the Bluebonnet cabin and..... drumroll please....dunununun.... the top bunk! A campers dream! They were log cabins and were so warm!
  We had bible studies that were hilarious! And much more! I loved this one night where I got to get away from my parents and have fun. Thanks for reading!

New years resolution!

So, I hope you guys all had a merry Christmas. But now I am talking about new years. Now everyone has bad habits or things you want to get rid of or do more. So, when you really set a goal it is called a New Years resolution.( most of you know that)
    Alright, my new years resolution is to read more. Also to be nicer to my brothers. And I want to get better at basketball. Plus I want to make more friends. And write more. Ok, so I guess it's more like resolutions. What I want you to do is right down your new years resolutions in the comments. Then you guys need to write it down several times and put in places you see everyday. When you see the note, think, and think hard.

Monthly Pop!

Hey guys. I want to do a monthly "news cast" and it is called the monthly pop!

 So this month (November ) a lot has gone on in my life. Fourth grade musical, puppy sitting ( a lot), and some other funny moments. But here is some news worldwide or across the nation.



        This month a huge, I mean HUGE cold front came through for weeks on end. Much of the nation COVERED with snow. Even down here, in Houston, we had to get our big coats out. Brrrrrrrrr!
   Also, we kid of had a " world record day " this month. No, not a official holiday. But so many people broke world records. Like the longest weather report non-stop. And the tallest man met the shortest man. So cool!

Give thanks and show gratitude

                                          So, yesterday we had our thankful party. It was so fun! The theme was "Charlie Brown". We got to play Pictionary, hot potato, and we had cute little Charlie Brown water bottles. ( Yellow duct tape and a black stripe drawn). But what was best was the popcorn. Nah I'm kidding! The best part was writing what we were thankful for. I'm thankful for a mom and dad, a house, my hermit crab, food, water, and maybe... my brothers. Again, kidding! I love my brothers.

                           So, this Thanksgiving, give thanks, be thankful, and show gratitude.  Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

                          I love rainbows! Pretty unicorns leaping and pixies fluttering. Gnomes running around. Imagine that! Magical ,fairytale lands right here.



                        So you are walking down a forest made of candy and a gnome crosses your path. A pixie flutters in your face. Then you trip and land in a mud pile that tastes like chocolate. Everyone laughs,, but you are just licking it and enjoying the moment!

Good bye Braces!

              For the past 10/11 months I have had braces on the top front four teeth, along with an expander on the roof of my mouth, and an expander on the bottom of my mouth. I have gotten used to them it has always kind of stink. I think to my self " it is going to feel so weird when I get all of this off".
       Speaking of getting all of this stuff off... I get it off next appointment!!!! Next time I go to the orthodontist I get everything off! I am SUPER excited! Since I am not allowed to eat popcorn, or caramel ( my two favorite snacks in the world ! : (   )  I'm going to make my dad give me a huge bowl of popcorn, and give me a bunch of caramel!

A summer schedule

         Since we got another Ipad my mom has been saying "get off that ipad" 24/7. So my parents came up with a simple  solution to the problem. Make a summer schedule. We are still getting used to it.But It limits our screen time, and my mom has put in a learning time so we get some summer learning in. It annoys us sometimes, but we know (at least I know) that it is for the best. Below is a copy of our summer schedule, if you want to use it.

No! summer don't leave me yet!

         

              Yes I love school but I'm just not ready for summer to be over! I have had a blast. But I just think that this summer has gone by way too fast! Below is a quick, short film i made about this summer so far.

At this time in exactly 3 weeks...

            At this time in exactly 3 weeks I would be at Great Wolf Lodge finishing up supper. Now in Katy we get out on June 5. So here, school is out in less than 3 weeks!!! I can't wait to go to Great Wolf  Lodge this summer and then I'm going to see real live dinosaur foot prints in Glen Rose,TX.
Then a special surprise vacation!
             I will still have a lot of free time this summer, as well as be very busy. I love school but I am excited for summer and give my brain a break. I will be going into fourth grade and I am very excited. 9 and 1/2 days of school left! I really hope they go by fast!!!

My B-day

 My b-day is on March 25. Right now it's March 21. My b-day is on Tuesday!!! I'm so excited. My party is going to be at Main Event the Saturday after. My friends and I are going to go bowling and I really hope I can get as close as I can to getting a basketball cake. I will be 9 years old. Mark your calenders ! Kidding you don't have to.

basketball season

 I know that I already made a post about basketball season, but that was about my dad's basketball season.This is about MY basketball season. My first game is tomorrow and I'm really excited. I can't wait until my 2nd basketball season starts.YAY!
  My team is the Wisconsin Badgers and there is one girl on my team from last year. So, I'm excited thet I getto make lots of new friends. My number is 14. Last year it was 3. So taking my number from last year and putting a desimol in between my number last year and  this year you get 3.14. PI. My dad tought me that.
 I can't wait to go and play basketball this season. With hard work and practice I'll be even better than I was last year. Wish me luck!

I will be acting out this poem in class. I play the child. The girl lost her tooth making it hard to pronouce some words.

thinthe I lotht my middle tooth.
Jutht yethterday my tooth wath fine—
today it wiggled loothe.

At firtht I thought it thilly
when my tooth fell out today,
but no one theemth to underthtand
a thingle word I thay.

I athked my mom to clothe the door.
She thaid,

Mom:

That would be rude.
The door does not like wearing clothes;
it’s happy in the nude.

Child:

I thaid a mouthe wath in my room
and she should come and thee.
She thaid,

Mom:

Your mouth is on your face;
it’s right where it should be.

Child:

I wonder if you underthtand
the thircumthtanthe I’m in.
I told her I wath feeling thick.
She thaid,

Mom:

You’re looking thin.

Child:

At latht she thaw how mad I wath
and thought I might thtop breathing.

so much... school

        I have a lot to do in life... like school.  Right now I am on thanksgiving break. But I still have a lot of stuff to worry about in school. 3rd grade has more responsibility  than second so it is pretty tough.  I actually have to STUDY. I have never had to do that in past grades. I think. I have, not a lot, but  some tough assessments and homework.  Plus,  people are making clubs , projects and other stuff. I may just be in third grade but I have a lot of stuff to do!

       Happy holidays!!  Yesterday was Thanksgiving, Christmas is less than a month away, and new years is about  a month away. So many holidays at the end of the year. My elf on the shelf Charlie has returned this morning. Plus, we just finished putting up our Christmas decorations. The year is almost over. It has gone by so fast.  Merry Christmas and happy new year!! :)

a 3rd grade teacher... turns into my neighbor?

Miss Morgan is a third grade teacher at my school. Now she is also my new neighbor. Cool right? It is pretty fun and interesting.  Most of the time when I am playing outside with my friends in the neighborhood I see her walking her dog Sadie. She is so cute and fuzzy!!! My mom is thinking about on the days that she has meetings, that me and my brothers can go home with her and stay at her house 'til she comes home. Because she literally lives 2 houses down and across the street! I am so lucky that she lives so close. I am very glad she does!!!


P.S- (I might get to cheat and be able to find out what we are doing in school early)!

Books and math... mixed

              I am in third grade. So that means I switch classes.  My homeroom is Mrs.Keel, and she teaches math, science, social studies (she is AWESOME!!!). Also my switch teacher is Mrs.Stratton, she teaches reading, writing and word work. (She is AWESOME too).I have the best time every day with them and I am so glad I got them as my 3rd grade teachers.:)


              Mrs.Keel (my homeroom) is great.  She makes math so fun! Lately, we have been learning about multiplication and division. All the activities that she has been doing with us have made it super fun. I am super glad I got her as my math teacher. She has really helped me improve in math.




             Mrs.Stratton (my switch) is great, too. Reading and writing are awesome with her. I love her steps and plans she gives us to use. But you are still aloud to use your own voice in your writing to make it your own. Also, daily 5 is really simple, fun, and easy. I love having class with her.





           I love both of my teachers. They are AWESOME!!!! I am so good I got them as my teachers.
           

football and basket ball... its back!!!

   Well, looks like sports is back. High school basketball season is about to start and my dad is a high school basketball coach so I won't be seeing him a bunch at home. So I'll miss him all fall. Ha, all fall. Anyways, and it is already high school and pro. football season. Sports is back!!!
     My dad is going to be gone a bunch because of high school basketball season. He will be coaching practice and games and be coming home late because of that. I will miss him a lot.  At least I will see him on Sundays and about 6:00 every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Man!!!

   Professional football has now started and my family is pretty excited. we are always ready for Sunday night football. Especially  when the cowboys play.  Be prepared. It's sports mania!!! Above is a video  of the Buffalo Bulls vs. Miami Dolphins.
